According to the Lord’s prayer, the “Will of God” is the standard of conduct that is done in heaven. When Adam and Eve violated this within the Garden of Eden, God separated them from his direct presence. Things have not changed. Self-will leads to sin and the Father is not going live among it.
John 3:16 is a one sentence Scripture that demonstrates God’s love for us and His willingness to raise us to His standards. To attempt to achieve this on our own can end in anxiety and failure. The grace in our heart learning the righteousness of God is a gift. Our mind can quote it. However, by humbly asking God in prayer, such things are offered to our heart, allowing them to be lived. 1 John 1:8-10
Our responsibility is to provide the willingness to learn, place ourselves in a learning environment, and to pray to a God who teaches us love, by first loving us. (1 John 4:19) 1 John 4:7-21
God is worthy of our growth and praise. Consider a local, Bible-teaching church.
